From obedience comes reward

Jossy had big plans from a young age to become a business success and retire a wealthy man. Since surrendering his heart to the Lord, Jossy lives a life devoted to giving to others and instead living by faith for his own income.

With new ideas about what it means to be rich, these are his own words:

“Life is much more in alignment with my faith, my social responsibilities, the family and my personal skills. Also, the satisfaction and the rewards that I see and experience are so deep at a social and human level, but also on a spiritual level.  I think this is because I know the difference I make…will continue on into eternity.”

Missionary or Great Commissionary?

Someone recently asked if I considered myself a missionary.
Hmmm … the word missionary traditionally conjures up images of white people being sent to a foreign, pagan land full of dark skinned people. Guess that counts me out! Actually I think of myself as more of a Great Commissionary than a Missionary. My reason is this…

In the bible Jesus said,

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20

A Modern Day Miracle : Caste Reconciliation

Personally finding the love and acceptance of God to be so real in my own life, I could not shake the sadness in knowing that so many were being robbed of understanding their true value and worth.

The Caste System has been operating in India for thousands of years. This system favors particular groups of people and discriminates against others. From the moment a child is born, they are taught that they are only worth as much as their caste.

The “Untouchables” are the people in the lowest level of the Caste System and nearly early 80% of the Indian population belong to a caste that is degraded and mistreated. They are given less dignity, value and worth than animals.

That is why I started The Caste Reconciliation Movement. To help people understand that they are created by God as equals and we are all brothers and sisters.  By creating opportunities for entire communities and castes to be united; Political leaders, Westerners, High Caste Brahmans and religious leaders are invited to come and apologize to the mistreated castes.

As we encourage them to ask for forgiveness, tell others they are created in the image of God and take part in foot washing, the harmful cultural ways of life are replaced by the stable biblical traditions that are rooted in love.

What are your thoughts on this?

I wonder if you have found the same to be true for you.

I really believe that every person is uniquely created, with a very unique purpose and plan. I believe there is a very specific call on everybody’s life. The first half is really training and preparation for the fulfillment of that purpose and call, which is experienced in the second half.

Be encouraged! What you go through has a place in God’s plan for you. Allow him to use it for His glory.
